The Old Liberty High School All-class Reunion is taking place this weekend.
If you’re not familiar with it, it is a reunion that is held for anyone who attended the “Old” Liberty High School, which is now Heritage Middle School. This elite group of former students includes anyone who graduated high school up until 1974, even though the last graduating class to come out of that building was the class of 1972. The 1974 graduates are included in this group because they attended the school, even though they graduated from the “new” high school.
The reunion takes place on Historic Liberty Square on Saturday, September 16 from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. LHS Alumni and anyone else who wants to see these fine graduates are welcome to come to the Square and lend to the celebration!
Be sure to stop by the Clay County Museum on Main Street for a display of old yearbooks and class photos.
Another tradition coming out of this group is to hang out at the Corner Bar. We expect to see many of the LHS alumni coming through our doors on Friday and Saturday and maybe we’ll hear a memory or two about this bar we love so much.
Hope to see you then! TJ’s Pizza will be available for purchase!
